A singular literary coincidence is reported to the Poverty Bay Herald bj- a correspondent from London. On November 13 John Murray was to publish “Pioneering in Poverty Bay,” by jghilip T. Kenway, formerly of Waimata Valiev and dealing with station life in that valley. On November 22 the Scholartis Press, controlled by Mr Eric Partridge, who in his youth lived in the Waimata Valley, was to publish a volume of stories called “ Glimpses,” by Corrie Den.son, the first of the stories entitled ’“The Valley,” being actually laid in the same Waixnata Valley.
