CHARGE OF THEFT.
MEMBER OF FIRE BRIGADE BEFORE COURT. AUCKLAND, March 1.. A member of the Wellington Fire Brigade (James William Stewart, aged 25), who arrived with his wife to spend a holiday in Auckland, was charged in the Police Court with the theft of a gokl and diamond ring and a camera, of a total value of £lO, the property of some person unknown. The police alleged that the property had been stolen by the accused from fires he attended. The accused was remanded on bail to ■Wellington.
