Included in the entry were 17 or 18 pens of forw-ard bullocks, the annual draft from Cattle Flat Station, which met with very keen competition, the prices realised ranging from £l3 10s down to £9 12s 6d. In the same consignment were a few pens of heifers and cow's which realised up to £lO and £7 15s respectively. Other consignments of good forward bullocks from the south also met with a ready sale. In the single pens, large numbers of good quality cows and heifers met with a good demand, this also being the case with the boners and inferior sorts, which made up the remainder of the yarding. There was a good proportion of autumns and incomings forward, and for these the demand was very keen. The market, generally for autumn grades may be quoted quite 6d per lb higher than last sale’s rates. Incoming winters showed a bigger increase, but quotations on the previous sale for these grades were nominal. A few early winters were offered, and these sold at very high prices. Summers and low grades generally were 2d to. .3d higher.
