An amusing incident occurred during the Rugby football match between Ratana and Marist Clubs at Ratana last Saturday afternoon, an “ All Black ” being one of the figures concerned (remarks the Wanganui Chronicle). During the progress of the game the attention of the referee was called to the fact that the visitors had 16 players on their side, and it was some time before the extra one, a black-coated retriever, could be induced to leave his newlyfound friends, much to the amusement of players and spectators alike. Later the “ All Black ” joined the Ratana team until he was once more ordered off.
