A MISSING POUND NOTE.
SCHOOLGIRLS SEARCHED. CHRISTCHURCH, May 3. A strong protest has been made to tha Star in connection with an incident at iho Technical College yesterday, when a number of girls wore subjected to a search of their clothing by the senior mistress and another teacher. The search took place in the cloak room, where a girl pupii ha d discovered that a f • tote was missing. Immediately >t was reported the doors of the room were shut, and the pupils in it were submitted to a search of thei. clothing from head to .oot. The note was not discovered.
