It is reported on excellent authority that arrangements have been completed under which Sir Joseph Ward will build a theatre, in Invercargill (reports the Southland Times). The theatre will be used for pictures and vaudeville, and probably will be called the Regent. A simplified form of ballot was adopted at one of the country householders’meetings in Taranaki last week (reports the Herald). Five committeemen were needed, and six persons were present.
