A NIGHT ON MOUNT STUDHOLME.

MISSING TRAMPERS FOUND. WAIMATE, March 26. Parties were out all day on Monday searching the hills for Messrs A. R. Cooper and W. W. Scott, two local residents, who set out at 7 o’clock on Sunday morning to walk to and climb Mount Studholme, aiming to do it all and return b" the evening. They were not home by daybreak on Monday, and anxiety was felt, particularly as the night was cold and heavy rain fell. Mr Cooper walked to a farmhouse many miles from Mount Studholme on Monday afternoon after a 19-bour tramp across hilly country, having lost touch with Mr Scott, and having lost his bearings in a fog. Mr Scott was discovered by searchers at dusk in an exhausted condition.
