SOUTH ISLAND MOTOR UNION

CHRISTCHURCH, March 30. At a meeting of the South Island Motor Union, Mr Abbott, North Otago, moved —■“ That some collective action be taken in an endeavour to prevent the speeding of motorists through small townships and villages.” It was decided to set up notices in regard to speed. It was also decided to ask the Government to take steps to accede to the union’s request to appoint a South Island motorists’ representative on the Main Highways Board.
