At a recent meeting of the West Coast Cricket Association, W. Balderatone, a Blackball player, was disqualified for one year for using offensive language to an umpire at a match on January 29. A- typical indication of the thoroughness of the opposition of those who do not favour daylight saving is afforded by the following- endorsement on. a- vote .against continuance • of 'the experiment:—“The greatest- curse to bard workers and the biggest boon to loafers that was . ever thought of.”
