ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR MARCH.

THE SUN. The sun’s path during the month o£ March will be in R.A. from 22.48.40 to 0.38.42, in declination from 7.34.3 south to 4.10.12 north, and in longitude from 340.40.27 to 10.31.45. The equinox occurs on the 20th. THE MOON. The phases of the moon will be aS under: — Full moon .. 6th 10.57 p.m. Last quarter .. 15th 2.50 a.m. New moon .. 22nd 7.59 a.m. First quarter 28th 11.24 p.m. Apogee .. 11th 10.30 p.m. Perigee .. 23rd 10.6 p.m. THE PLANETS. Mercury will be in R.A. from 21.59.51 to 23.5157 and in south declination front 8.54.32 to 8.9.21. It will be stationary on the 7th, and will be in conjunction with the moon on the 19th. It will be at its greatest elongation on the 22nd. Venus will be in R.A. from 20.48.24 to 23.12.6 and in declination from 18.7.37 to 6.36.57 south. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 19th. Mars will be in' R.A. from 20.16.38 to 21.49.8 and in south declination front 20.42.43 to 14.30.31. It will be in con* junction with the moon on the 18th. Jupiter will be in R.A. from 0.31.2 to 0.57.11 and in north declination from 2.8.25 to 4.56.25. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 22nd. Saturn will be in R.A. from 17.10.37 to 17.13.16 and in south declination from 21.21.58 to 21.22.1. It will be in com junction with the moon on the 14th, and will be stationary on the 23th. Uranus will be in conjunction with ths moon on the 21st.
