RADIO BROADCASTING.
PUBLICATION OF PROGRAMMES. CHRISTCHURCH, August 4. In an interview, Mr A. R. Harris, general manager of the Radio Broadcasting Company, denied the statement made by”Mr K. M'Keen in the House last night that the Broadcasting Company had refused permission to tne press to publish any but the current day’s programme. No newspaper, he said, had applied to the company for the right to publish programmes other than on the day of performance and if there were any daily newspapers that wished to publish i n full more than the current day’s programme, the Broadcasting Company would be only too glad to make arrangements to supply them with all particulars. Mr Harris also denieff Mr D. Buddo’s statement that the company declined to allow wireless in country halls unless the secretary hold a license from the copyright holder. He stated that the question of copyright of music was controlled by the owners or publishers.
