William Roberts, with many aliases, was sentenced at Marton on Wednesday last to six months’ imprisonThc accused jvas released from Wellington Gaol at the beginning of the present month, and had nine previous convictions for false pretences covering over 30 charges. The accused told the Bench that he had won over £l2O at the Wellington races over Nukumai's victories, and had been drunk ever since.
