In a school near Whangarei (says the Northern Advocate), the scholars in standards three and four had been learning Southey’s poem, “The Battle of Blenheim, and the teacher was. speaking about the fight. At the conclusion of the talk, the teacher told the children to take their atlases and find the location on the map. Without exception the scholars turned to the map of the South Island of Now Zealand.
