“Scrim in ceilings is unhygienic, and should have been done away with ages ago. It is abominable,” said Mr T. Collin* when giving evidence at the Arbitration Court in Christchurch for the employen in the case of the painters’ industrial dispute. There were so many ways open to supersede the scrim nowadays, he added, that there was no need to persevere with such a filthy system. /
