The Dominion Headquarters of Boy Scouts has granted the Jamboree Executive permission to issue a jamboree badge to all.who took part in the first jamboree to be held in New Zealand. The badges, which are similar to the jamboree badges issued for the Wembley and Danish Exhibitions in 1924, are inscribed “Jamboree. Dunedin, 1926," in gold on a dark green background. The number Issued was 1000, being the exact number of those present, so in the event of one being lost it cannot be replaced. A Temuka resident had a surprise visit paid to his kitcheq the other morning by , a Jersey cow (states the Leader). Whether it was the aroma of rolled oats that enticed the animal in cannot be definitely stated, but the cow piloted her way through the narrow door, nad a look through the window, and gazed as if in doubt for some time at the heavily-laden. breakfast table. Apparently the comestibles were not to her liking, so she carefully backed out the way she had come, and probably decided that turnips ana hay were after all more to her taste*
