In the evening the Rev. Professor W. Heaitaon was in the pulpit. Professor Hewitson spoke on the missionary spirit evinced in the teaching and in the spread of Christianity, exhorting one and all to assist in this wonderful enterprise by show, ing the same spirit in their homes and their business. Special music was sung by the choir including the anthem ‘‘Goa hath appointed a Day.’’ Madame New-combe-Hall assisted materially by singing Gounod’s "0, Divine Redeemer,” while Mr W. Renton sang the recit and aria from Judas Maccateus ‘‘Arm! Arm I ye brave!” The trust fund will benefit considerably by the special collections made on its behslf.
