WILBURN AND CLARENDON.
July 2.—After a spell of fine weather a change has set in, and the last few days have been very wet and misty. Ploughing is in most cases well forward. Winter feed is plentiful this year, and the stock is therefore looking well. Demonstration.—A demonstration with a Case tractor was held in Mr O. Grey’s paddock last Tuesday, when a good number turned out. The tractor was working with a three-furrow plough in a lea paddock, and gave good results. Bazaar.—The annual church bazaar and sale of work was held about the end of May, and proved very successful, about £7O being raised to help the church funds. New Hall.—lt is proposed to rebuild a hall at Clarendon to take the place of the one which was burned down some years ago. The local Presbyterian Church would hold services at that end of the district if there was a suitable building. On alternate Wednesday evenings the hall trustees are Folding dance and card evenings, which have been fairly well and pleasantly attended.
