For the international Asociation football match at Thebarton Oval the weather was favourable and the attendance fair. England had control in the early stages of the game, their combination being perfect and their attack brilliant. ITiey led at half-time by 3 goals to nil. In the second spell England became ragged in their defence and sluggish, while the Australians played doggedly in defenoe.
