CAVERSHAM PRESBYTERIANS.

Early in September next the Caversl]arn Presbyterians will celebrate their fiftieth anniversary, or golden jubilee, and in commemoration of such an event they are making great preparations in order to do justice to the occasion. An interesting booklet is being published recording the history of the church, and it will be interspersed with photos which will be of great value in years to come. A jubilee fund is being inaugurated, and thanks offerings will be receiveed towards the building of a new Sabbath school, which (a urgently needed. Already a substantial turn nas been promised from one donor. On Saturday afternoon, September 6, the celebrations will be commenced with a conversazione as a means of a happy re-union of old and present members. The Sunday services will be conducted in the morning by the Rev. Dr Wardoll and in the evening by the Rev. D. Dutton. On the Monday evening following an old-time tea meeting or “soiree” will be held. On the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday the Ladies' Guild will hold a sale of work, the Eoceeds from which will go towards the bilee fund. Saturday, September 13, will the Children’s Day, when a picnio will be given them, and garnet and sports will

be indulged in. A social will be held for the united clubs and classes in connection with the church organisations. Sunday, September 14, is set apart for the children’s service, when appropriate sermons will be preached by the Rev. F. M. Beattie and other ministers. A Masonio service will be held in the evening. A hearty welcome and invitation is extended to all old or past members of the church, wherever they may be residing.
