South Wales, and his visits to the Dominion are always welcomed. When the Ulimaroa returns to Sydney on Friday she will take John M. Cameron with The Hawk, 'Egyptian Flower, and Molvneux, also Parody and Gloaming. Parody is in the Epsom with 8.11, and although he won recently with 10.5, your correspondent doubts whether lie is good enough to give her 101 b. About a dozen Trent!) am-trained horses will compete at the Grand National meeting. They are mostly in the minor events, although we have two Grand National

Steeplechase candidates in Carawock and Dick, Winter Cup candidates in Solfaneilo, Star Ranger, Dominant, and Stream, and a Hurdle Race candidate in Solfanella, who was unlucky enough to bump into Nukumai at Otaki and Trentham. In the Grand National he is only allowed a pound for the beating at Trentham, so that Nukumai should beat him again. Mr W. R. Kembaii was on a business visit to Wellington to-day. He expects Vagabond to improve on his performance in the Grand National Hurdle Race last year. Blue Hall, whose name appears among tho acceptors for the Gisborne meeting, is also engaged at the Grand National.
