The monument which is being erected at the White Cliffs by the officials of the Waiter a and Whiteley Methodist Churches to mark the spot where the Rev. John Whiteley met his death at the hands of some rebel Natives, is nearing completion (reports the Taranaki Herald). A special unveiling ceremony is being arranged to take place at an early date, at which the president of the conference (the Rev. C. H. Laws, D.D.) will officiate.
