An interesting phenomenon was noticed in the sky about 6 o’clock on Monday morning (sajs the Ashburton Guardian). It appeared as though two suns were shining upon the earth, the real one being in its customary place for that time of the morning; but level with it, in the direction of the southern horizon, could be seen a reflection in a large white cloud. The effect was that of two suns shining. Several persons saw this strange occurrence, and assert that they were not merely "seeing things” after their race festivities.
