One of the greatest difficulties the dairy farmer haa to contend with is the loss of calves through scours. Many very experienced farmers have found it impossible to overcome this stumbling-block, which make# serious depletions in their young stock every year. The trouble has, however, been surmounted at last, and farmers need no longer stand helplessly by while their valuable calves languish and die. The experience of Mr Johns proves that calves can be saved. At one time on his farm he had 30 caivea clown with scours, and four died. Then ha heard of “Faterine,” and gave it a. trial. What was the result? In four days all hia 26 calves had stopped securing, and in seven days there was no sign of colds.
