PRESSMAN’S SUICIDE.

CHRISTO!URCH, September 14. Air George F. Hendry, chief sub-editor of the Sun, was found hanging in a lavatory at his residence at Beckenham at 5.30 p.m. to-day. He left the office at 4 p.m., and appeared to be in his normal health. Deceased was a single man, and a native of Mosgiel. He was educated at tho Otago Boys’ High School, and started journalism in Dunedin. lie was afterwards on the New Zealand Times and the Auckland Herald, and joined the Sun as a reporter on its inception in 1913. lie was for several sessions parliamentary correspondent for the Sun. At the inquest on Air Hendry, sub-editor of the Sun, a verdict of suicide while mentally unbalanced was returned.
