V.R.C. GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. MELBOURNE, July 3. The Gland National Hurdle Race resulted: Fiscom, 9.3 (Doy), 1: Gold Coin, 10.7 (Heron), 2; Telecles, 10.3 (Boyd) 3. There were 18 starters. Telecles blundered at the last jump and Fiscom got to the front and raced necli-and-neck with Telecles when Gold Co-in also threw out a challenge. The three horeus were almost on terms at the distance, and in a desperate finish Fiscom won by a head, a nock separating second and third horses. Time, smin 3ojsec—a. record for the race. SYDNEY', June 27. The weights for the Epsom Handicap, one mile, have been published. Eurythmic is top with 10.2, Duo (N.Z.) is given 9.2, and Biplane 8.8. In the Metropolitan, Eurythmic is top with 10.2, Duo has 9.2, and Finm-ark 8.5. Tho weather was fine for the holiday. Ihe Rose hill Nursery Handicap resulted as follows:—Loyal Irish 1. Science 2, Magnestorm 3. V.’on by a length. Time, Imin lo^sec. MELBOURNE, June 27. In the Caulfield Cup Eurythmic is assigned pride of place with 10.4, Finmark has 8.2, Cupidon 6.10, and Collision 6.10. In the Melbourne Cup, Eurythmic is top weight with 10.5, Duo has 9.1, Finmark 8.2, Athens II 7.3, Cupidon 6.10, Big Chief 6.10, Loyal Irish 6.10, Kick off 6.10. •Tune 30. There are 19 final acceptors for the Grand National Hurdles, including British Arch, and Kilowat.
