COMMENTS FROAJ THE BENCH. WELLINGTON. June 17. .Alien Raymond Gooige and Frederick William Set ton were each sentenced to three years’ imprisonment, villi hard labour, on <ha’"es of bigamy. On George's counsel asking that prisoner be admitted to probation, his Honor said such a suggestion was imulnu.-sablc. A case of this kind can only be met with a substantial term of imprisonment. George had three wires in three years. He first married a -roman of bad cha'acter, and soon left her, which the judge said wu = justifiable, but there was no excuse for him to seduce a voting girl and many he*- as a single man, nn.it keen Iter tili 1917. The same year lie married a third woman, also deceiving her info the belief that he was rinde. He had also elaborately falsified the marriage
