GISBORNE, June 17. As a result of floods two spans of the Waiapu bridge in process of restoration wer e carried away. The mail coach from Waipiro Bay overturned in the. Mangahartiui River, and the driver rescued the mails and horses at considerable risk. THAMES June 17. It is reported that a timber boom above Mata bridge, between Thames and Coromandel. broke away, carrying with it the centre pier of tire brid.e. Traffic has been suspended. The rivers are high.
