Holland has entered a team for the Davis Cup contest,: and has been drawn against the British Isles in the preliminary round. America will- play South Africa..;:. The Tennis Association has decided to cable to Canada that the regulations preclude the acceptance of the challenged ■which arrived three days late. It suggested that Canada should send a cable message to the challenging, nations with the object of applying.for a redraw. Speaking at the Lawn Tennis Association, Mr Norman Brookes said he did not advocate the severance of New Zealand from the Australasian Tennis Association, but he suggested" that the dominion forgo the claim to have "the; next Davis Cup challenge match, played in New Zealand, in view of the New Zealand players of international class were available, and the, defending team would be entirely Australian.^•.<(
