Messrs Dalgety and' Co. report as follows: Oats: There has been a little more inquiry of late, but no volume of business is passing. A few lines of new season's heavy Gartens have changed hands at 5s on trucks at near stations. Very few oats are arriving from the country, and stocks in store are small. On the other hand, the shipping demand is slack, the high f.o.b. price causing buyers in the North Island to curtail theirpurchases. A fair quantity of oats has been sold at handy stations to Dunedin at up to 5s on trucks. We quote: Milling, 5s 2d; A Gartons, ss; B, 4s lid —all ex store, sacks extra. Wheat: A few lines of this have been offering from the Central, and is being taken by millers at Government rates. Fowl wheat is in very short supply, and commands full rates. Chaff: Arrivals from the country have fallen, off, and the market is firmer. We quote: Good to best, £7 10s to £7 15s, ex store, sacks extra. Potatoes: Arrivals are heavier and the market has eased. Best are worth 12s per cwt, good 10s to lis. RABBITSKIN MARKET REPORT.
