A. .Cook, S. S. Myers, and E. H. Lough. The engineer reported that the works at Wingatui were progressing satisfactorily, two of the-contracts being finished.—Received. A letter was received from an owner suggesting that the two-year-old classic race at the spring meeting be deferred until the Christmas meeting.—Referred to the Programme Committee. F. W. O'Connell was appointed racecourse detective for the June meeting. It was decided that complimentary tickets in future will not admit to the momtes' stand, and that admittance tickets to the stand enclosure bo sold in town a day or two before the races. It was decided that the Works Committee visit tho" course on Saturday next. Fourteen new members were elected. A JOCKEY INJURED. MELBOURNE, February 29. A jockey, Frank Dempsey, broke his collarbone through a fall from Silent Way in the Montone Handicap. In consequence, Foulsham is likely to ride Sir Ibex at Flemington.
