Beaurepaire defeated Steadman by four yards in"the 220 Yards Swimming Cham- £' ionship of Australasia. Time, 2niin 3 -sseo. Norman Ross, in hii final appearance, broke <aU records except the 600 yards. His times are :—-•500 metres, 6min 50 2-ssec; 880 yards, llmin 15 3-ssec ; 1000 yards, 12min oYsee; 1000 metres, 14:min 20 3-ssec; 1320 yards, 17min 14 3-ssec; 1500 metres, 21mhi 23sec; mile, 22min 58 2-ssec. The 100 Yards Women's Championship of New South-Wales resulted as follows: Fanny Durack, 1; ■ M. Wylie, 2; M. M'Donald '3. Won by three yards. Time, Imin 11 2-sseo. The Mile Championship of Australia at Perth resulted as follows:—Beaurepaire, 1; Christie. 2; Springfield, 3. Won comfortably. Time, 24min 15sec.
