A Wellington firm has been advised that 26-gaugo corrugated galvanised iron is obtainable at £45, ci.f.e., London. This is merchants' cost. Such iron when procurable has been quoted at from £BO to £IOO per ton. English galvanised fencing wire is down to £4O per ton —merchant's cost—and is expected to be cheaper than American.
