Fishing near the mouth of the Molyneux on the 7th, Mr S. M'Kay, of Balclutha, landed a fine trout weighing "fib, ancr also a three-pounder. During the Christmas and New Year holidays (reports the Free Press) several Balcultha anglers, enjoyed good sport at the mouth of the river and in the channels of the old bay at Port Molyneux, where fish weighing up to 61b were caught with rod and line. The Port Molyneux Caledonian Society held its fifty-first annual gathering on the prettily-situated grounds at Wilsher Bay on New jTear's Day. There was a record attendance of over 2000. The best feature of the meeting was the piping rnd drncing events. The proceeds from the meeting are to be devoted to patriotio purposes. Results :
