WAIKAIA.
Juno B.—On May 29 a very enjoyable social was held in the Coronation Hall to bid farewell to Messrs H. Collins, G.-Mit-chell, and R. M'Neish, who are down on final leave from Featherston Camp. Songs were rendered by Miss Hicks and Mr Bond, and duets by Mesdames Garvey and Allen. Music was supplied for the dance by Mrs Clark (piano) and Mr Jones (violin) in a very admirable style, while Mr Robertson made a splendid M.O. Mr John Milne, in a few well-chosen words, presented Messrs Collins, Mitchell, and M'Neish with a safety razor each—a gift greatly appreciated by the recipients, who suitably responded. ' Personal.—Much sympathy is felt for Mr and Mrs M. Farrington for the loss of their son, and Mrs Robert Garvey for the loss of her brother. Weather. —The weather has been wintry, and some keen frosts have been experienced.
