Fortunately the weather was fine, as the grand stand, destroyed by fire after the last meeting, has not yet been rebuilt. Exclusive, the full sister to Bon Ton and Eligible, scored her first win in the Trial Stakes. The Blenheim-owned and Tren-tham-trained Blue Gown, who filled second place, won a race later in the afternoon. Rose Pink comfortably defeated Mascot in the Cup, and the latter scored in the Redwood Memorial Handicap on the second day. Rose Pink has now won three Cups this season. She is in the Wairarapa Cup with 6.13, and the Great Autumn with the minimum weiernb. Mascot is also on tlie same mark in the events mentioned Mr J. J. Coi'ry, the Blenheim owner, won with Imaribbon and Pariform on the opening day. Waimatae scored an easy win in the Stewards' Handicap on the first day, and on the second day was placed with 11.6.. The West Coast contingent had a good innings on the second day with Clavevhonse, who had previously run two seconds; Zanthos, who was second in the Redwood Memorial: and War Tax, who paid the biggest dividend at # the meeting. War Tax came out later in the day and paid a good price for second. Tho Canterbury trainer A. Hendrickson took three trotters to the meeting. He won with two of thein, and the other, Lear Dillon, broke down in the race he ran third. Neil Denis, one of the winners, is a full brother to Cameos and Waverley. The Southerner also drove Hopeless to victory, thus wining three of the four trotting races. Most of tho Nelson winners are engaged at the Wairarapa meeting, to be held on Thursday and Friday next. Mr A. E. Whyte. secretary of the Wellington Racing Club, will be among the New Zealand visitors at the A.J.O. meeting.
