FIRST GRADE. Mornington and Grange played a drawn game-at the Caledonian Ground) on Saturday. Mornington went in first and put together 187 runs, to which Grange responded with 10D for seven wickets. Carisbrook and High School played on the Carisbrook Ground, where the wicket was very fast. The home team won easily. High School scored 62, to which Carisbrook responded with 192. Mornington, playing against Grange, made 34 runs, and Grange replied with 172 (B. Wright 34, G. Wright 33, Bell 24, O'Brien 18, Restieaux 15, Munro 13). For the winners, Wright (five wickets for 13 runs) and Munro (five for 15) bowled well, as did Hitchcock and M'Naughton for Mornington. THIRD GARDE, Albion defeated Mornington by four wickets and 49 runs. Albion made 111 for six wickets (Spedding 47 not out, Riach 16 not out, Elliott 11, Lyng 10), and Mornington made 62 (Rennie 23, Hellyer 10, Boberts 9). Spedding and Elliott bowled well for Albion, and Rennie and Trevathan secured the wickets for the losers.
