ALLEGED MANSLAUGHTER.
A YOUTH ARRESTED. GORE, February 22. Yesterday afternoon Percy George Shave, clerk, of Gore, aged 17 years, was arrested en a charge of manslaughter, for causing the death of Robert Timmis Coomer on December 22. Mr Coomer, who was 73 years old, and a well-known retired district farmer and dredge-owner, was knocked down by a car driven by Shave, death subsequently ensuing. Accused was brought before Mr Young, S.M., and remanded, bail being allowed in his own recognisanco of £IOO and one surety of £IOO.
