An elderly bowlers' day is being again arranged by the members of tho Dunedin Club, and Saturday. March 2. has been fixed as the date for the fourth anniversary. Secretaries of clubs aro asked to send in the names of any members of their clubs who desire to take part on or before the 26th inst., so that the necessary 'arrange ment of rinks may be made, and to arrange to bring tho matter under the notice of elderly bowlers. Last year 120 players of an average age of 70 years took part, 12 of the players being. over 80 years of age. The matter is again in the hands of thooriginator of the idea, Mr H. F. M. Mercer, and good weather is all that is required to make an assured success of the gathering. South Otago will send eight rinks to play against a Dunedin Centre team on the 23rd inst., and St. Hilda Green will be used if available. - "•' . The Dunedin Centre has decided to carry out the Easter tournament on the lines of that of 1915, the'finals to bo played on the St: Kilcla Green. • . Tho champion of champiors games for tho Dunedin Centre will be played on the 23rd inst. and the-2nd prox. on the Caledonian and Dunedin Greens respectively. Waikouaiti *.nd Seaclifi Clubs are invited to send their champions to take part in the contests. Dunedin Centre inter-club matches wero continued on Saturday. Dunedin Club won in a nine-rink aside game against Roslyn_ by 191 to 143, and also' scored a win against Balmacewen in a six rink aside game by 137 to 117. St. Clair (nine rinks) defeated Caledonian by 185" to 167, but the Caledonians -were successful asrainst Outraan, three rinks, by 61 to 55. Kaitima won a three-rink aside game against Port Chalmers by 73 to 49. but had to give way to Kaikorai in, a six-rink game Kaikorai scoring 131. to Kaituna's 113. Kaikorai had also a win in a three-rink game against St. Kilda by 70 to' 48. St. Kilda, however, won in* a nine-rink game against N.E. Valley by 182 to 164, and also < accounted for West Harbour in a three-rink match by 106 to 70. Cavcrsham, in a nine-rink match won against Otago by 168 to 164. Balmacewen, in a four-rink game, won against Wakari by 99 to 63. The match between Taieri and Mornington. six rinks a side, was. won by Taieri by 130 to 105. The' Southland District Rink Championship for which 10 clubs competed, resulted in a"win for the Invereargill Club's representatives—Stevenson. Macdonald, Stran".
