CRITICS FAVOURABLY IMPRESSED. SYDNEY, January 23. Desert Gold's appearance f on the track created many favourable comments and impressed the critics, her .abnormal vitality resembling that of Carlita when at her best. HER VICTORIAN FIXTURES. SYDNEY. February 4. ' Desert's Gold's trainer states that Mr Lowry has 'resolved not to come to any decision regarding his champion'' competing in the Newmarket Handicap, to be run at Flemington at the end of this month, until after seeing 'her run in the Futurity Stakes at Oaulfield on the Saturday preceding the V.R.C. meeting.
