THE PALESTINE CAMPAIGN.

Official reports state that the British forces in Palestine have renewed the offensive. They are advancing 20 miles from Jerusalem northward, and extending their line to Anitioch (? Anata). They are apparently starting an encircling movement against Jericho (15 miles east-north-oast of Jerusalem, and five miles east of the Jordan). Palestine official: We advanced slightly in the vicinity of Alnutios (?), north of Jerusalem. Wo destroyed 12 enemy aeroplanes during January. The Press Bureau states that the Duko of Connaught has arrived in Egypt. He has been deputed by the King to visit the Egyptian command. FIGHTING IN ARABIA. Tho War Office reports that the Arabs during the past 10 days have made extensive raids. They have destroyed tho telegraph line and several miles of tho He'rjaz railway track north-west of Medina. They also attacked posts southward of Maan, inflicting heavy losses and destroying buildings, waterworks, and ammunition dumps. The Arabs occupied a Turkish post northward of Maan, taking prisoner the garrison. Tho Arabs also routed Turkish forces in tho same neighbourhood, capturing some prisoners. EAST AFRICAN CAMPAIGN. East Africa official: A Cape coloured corp 3 occupied Livembe unopposed, and pursued the enemy to Mtnrika. We seized Pumuni Hill, 45 miles inland from Port Aglia. captring 30 tons of food, and later occupied Anmwabe.
