for tho certificate of proficiency. Only the final two years will have to be taken at Dunedin. The matriculation examination has been made the entrance examination. Previously a pass i:i tho medical preliminary examination was ; • cessary. Tho medical ftiibjects have been reduced to ft minimum, while tho dental subjects ha 73 been kept up, so that for the actual practical purposes of dentistry tho student will be turned out well equipped.
These important changes, together with the institution of a system of dental bursaries, should enable many to enter dentistry who would otherwise be debarred.
