FOREIGN MEAT TRADE.
THE NOMINATED SYSTEM TO CONTINUE. WELLINGTON, January 24. Interviewed to-day, the Prime Minister said : " Some interest has boon taken in a statement cabled from England recently to the effect that the Food Controller had done away with the nominated system in tho disposal of the surplus New Zealand frozen meat. This system was arranged in order that New Zealand firms in tho
meat trade might, during the war period, be able to keep some connection with the business they had established, and in which naturally they are greatly interested. Information has now come to hand that the nominated system will be continued under the control- of an advisory committee.
