MARBLE BARS.
WELLINGTON, January 11
A number of helpers in marble bare and other establishments where soft drinks and ice-cream are vended were charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with Sunday trading. Most of the defendants were fined, but in three cases which concerned promises at seaside resorts tho magistrate said in his opinion businesses of this kind were in a different category from similar businesses in a town. The Legislature had expressly exempted from tho provisions of the Sunday-trading section of tne Act all businesses helpful to travelling. Tho cases were dismissed.
