CRICKET. FIRST GRADE. Grange knocked up tho 103 runs required to lead Albion with a loss of hut two wickers, the veteran Downes getting 57 (including six fours). The Grangg players wore black bandla on their arms out of respect to the memory of Walter Malcolm, a member of their senior club, who was -lately killed at the front. Malcolm was one of Crawford's colts, and also an Otago representative player. The Oarisbrook-St. Kilda match was played on the Carisbrook Ground, and resulted in an easy win for Carisbrook. Forrester (four wickets for 11) and Wright (four for 16) bowled well fox the winners. M'Neil bowled well for the losers. LEAGUE MATCHES. Shacklock, 96 (Burt 34, Wills 33), defeated Standard, 32 (Osten 10 not out). Bowling for Shacklock, Eckhoff took five wickets for 16 and Burt three for 16; and for Standard, Knight took three wickets for 28, Ingram three for 18, and Lebherz one for 1. Railway, 94 (Hardie 25, Pettit 14, Hamer 13, Aitken 12, Kiernan 11), beat Tramway, 55 (Paino 19, M'Carten 12 not out, Murrow 10). Bowling for Tramway, Jephson captured five wickets for 26 runs, and Murrow two for 28. For Railway, Duckworth took three wickets fcx 16, Sutherland, three for 14, and Kiernan two for 10. BOWLING.
