BUTTER AND CHEESE.
AN IMPERIAL PURCHASE. WLLINGTON, January 5
Negotiations between the Government and the Food Controller in England in regard to the purchase of second-class butter and cheese in store have been successfully concluded at a price satisfactory to the producers and the consumers. The quantities covered by the transaction are 700 tons of whey butter. 300 tons of milled butter, and 25 tons of dairy cheese.
