A man named M'Leod, late engineer of the Rachel Cohen, was arrested at the Kisbce Hotel, some miles up Preservation Inlet (from Bluft"). It is understood he was drawn in the ballot in April last. He was taken to Invercargill on Friday (save tho Southland Times). A returned soldier, Richard Groves,, died early on Monday, 10th, while being conveyed to the Auckland Hospital from a house in which ho had been residing at Newmarket. He had been gassed in France, and had also received a wound in the leg. The immediate cause of death, was heart disease.
