MEETING OF REFORM PARTY.

CONGRATULATORY RESOLUTIONS CARRIED. WELLINGTON, September 6. At a full jmeeting- of the Reform Party held this morning the following resolution, proposed by Mr Scott and seconded by Mr Parr, was carried by acclamation:—"That this meeting of the Reform Party congratulates the Right Hon. W. F. Maseey on the valuable services rendered by him to the Empire during his recent visit to Great Britain and on his safe return to New Zealand ; and, further, to assure him of its continued loyalty and complete confidence in him as Prime Minister and leader of the party." The Prime Minister thanked members for their oordtal and enthusiastic welcome, and assured them that he accepted it as a complete recompense for the arduous duties he had been lately vailed on to perform in the interests of the Empire and of this dominion.

A very useful and Interesting discussion followed on the legislation of the session. Before the meeting closed a most cordial vote of appreciation of the valuable work done bv Sir James Allen while acting as Prime Minister was enthusiastically oarried.
