PRESENTATION TO MR A. F. RATTRAY.

Mr A. F. Rattray, who some months ago relinquished his position as superintendent of the Northern Assurance Company m New Zealand, was presented on Wednesduy with an illuminated address subscribed to by the chief, agents and attorneys in New Zealand of the company. Mr H. L. Tapley (ihe company's clmf agent and attorney for Otago and Southland) made the presentation, and referred in feeling terms to the regret expressed by all the representatives of the company that Mr Rattray had relinquished the position which he had held as superintendent for 23 years in New Zealand. By his tact and kindly consideration Mr Rattray had merited the esteem of tho respective 'staffs. These sentiment* were amplified in an illuminated address which was presented to Mr Rattray. Mr Rattray, whose period of service with the company has extended over 35 years, has accepted office as a director of the company in Duncdin.
