MILITARY MEDAL.
News has just been received by Mrs Strode, of Kyeburn, that her son, Alexander Strode, has been awarded the Military Medal for acts of gallantry in the field. He left with the Main Body of the Expeditionary Force, and served in the Gallipoli campaign, being on the Peninsula the whole time. After the evacuation he went to France, where he has been through severe fighting, and at latest advices was still in France, going strong. Three other sons of this patriotic widow are also in the firing line.
