TAIERI COLLIE CLUB.
Mr Wm. Blackie presided over a good afc> tendance of members at a meeting of the Taieri Collie Club on Saturday night, It was resolved to hold the trials in Dunedin Winter Show Week, and that the programme consist of Maiden,, All-comers, Huntaway, Local, and Consolation, the lasfc two provided time permits. The prizes were fixed on tho percentage basis of tha entry money—so per cent, to first dog, 23 per cent, to second dog, and per cent* to third dog. It was decided that any profits be given to the Taieri Women's Patriotic Associa? tion. Tho president and secretary were appointed to interviovv the Taieri' Women's Patriotic Association with reference tot catering. A sub-committee, consisting of the president and secretary and Messrs Gibson and Scott, was set up to arrange for a supply of sheep. . , Mr A. P. Gibson promised a donation or a fat lamb for a prize for the first day'a sheep-guessing. A number of special money prizes were promised in the meeting. Several inquiries were placed before tha meeting for programmes from intending competitors from various parts of Otago, and a few from the North Island; consequently there is every reason to believt that the trials will eclipse any of the pre ceding onea.
